47th FITA-Congress in Leipzig declared open

Two days before the 44th Outdoor Archery World Championships will start at the Festwiese in Leipzig, the 47th FITA-Congress was declared open by FITA-President Ugur Erdener. The Mayor of the City of Leipzig, Heiko Rosenthal, welcomed the delegates from all over the world.

 

Jörg Brokamp, General Secretary of the German Shooting and Archery Federation, thanked FITA that Germany was elected 2003 in New York to be organizer and promised that “we will be good hosts for the days of these championships”, where nearly 550 archers from 81 nations will take part.
