Saturday, 7th April 2007, is World Health Day. Berlin’s archers will make their sports contribution to this event, too, drawing attention to the sports highlight of this season, the 44th Outdoor Archery World Championships from 7 th to 15 th July 2007 in Leipzig.

Within the scope of the nationwide campaign „Germany moves“ the arrows will fly in the archery hall at Berlin’s Olympic base in Fritz-Lesch-Street in Berlin-Hohenschoenhausen for 24 hours.

Come along, join in, do something good for your body, get some exercise and learn how to strengthen your powers of concentration through this elegant Olympic discipline, which wins more and more supporters in Germany.

However the pure sports contest will not be the sole focus of attention in Hohenschoenhausen. Visitors should have fun at this World Health Day happening. Besides training, introductory lessons and contests with small teams, cultural contributions such as readings, films and music will be on offer.

In the evening a party with a live DJ will be organised, which will while away the time for archery participants and visitors with dance and good humour until the small hours.

Additionally there is a world championship platform dealing with the World Championship of Archery in Leipzig in information, talks and brochures. The target group of this event stretches from young to old. Start is at Saturday, 7 th April 2007, 2 p.m.

You are very welcome to try your hand at bow and arrow and maybe a world championship participant will stand beside you giving you some professional first-hand advice for archery.
