At the Opening Ceremnony of the „Stadtfest“ – one of the most attractive events in the City of Leipzig to be held on June 1-3 – Mario Oehme (Foto), Goldmedaillist in archery of the Paralympics 2004 in Athens, accompanied by Lord Mayor Burkhard Jung, will call attention to the 44th Outdoor Archery World Championships by a spectacular action.

From a stage at the Market Place he will shoot to a target on top of the roof of the historic old town hall, the “Altes Rathaus”. When the arrow hits, balloons in colours of all five continents will climb to the sky. A symbol for the archers from all over the world, who will take part at the World Championships to be held on July 7-15 at the Festwiese in Leipzig.
